Indigo® Mastercard® basics
What is the Indigo Card?
The Indigo® Mastercard® is an unsecured credit card for people with fair or poor credit. It doesn't require a security deposit and reports to the major credit bureaus, which makes it a common choice for rebuilding credit.
Who issues the Indigo Card?
The Indigo® Mastercard® is issued by Celtic Bank, a Utah-chartered, FDIC-insured bank, and serviced by Concora Credit (formerly Genesis FS Card Services). Indigo Card USA is an independent guide and is not the issuer.
What is the Indigo Card credit limit?
Initial credit limits typically range from $300 to $1,000, set at approval based on your credit profile.
Does the Indigo Card have an annual fee?
It depends on your offer. Annual fees typically range from $0 to $175. Check the terms in your offer before you accept.
Applying & approval
Can I get approved with bad credit?
Yes. There's no minimum credit score to apply for an Indigo Card USA loan. Lenders look at your income and ability to repay alongside your credit report.
Does pre-qualifying hurt my credit score?
No. Pre-qualification uses a soft credit inquiry, which doesn't affect your score. A hard inquiry only happens if you continue with a full application.
Can I apply after bankruptcy?
Yes. Applicants with a discharged Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy can apply. An open, active bankruptcy case must be discharged first.
What do I need to apply?
You'll need to be 18 or older (19 in Alabama and Nebraska), have a valid SSN, a verifiable source of income, and an active US checking account.
Activation & login
How do I activate my Indigo Card?
You can activate online through the issuer's official activation page at indigocard.com/activate, or by calling 1-800-353-5920. Have your card and personal details ready.
How do I log in to myindigocard.com?
Go to myindigocard.com and sign in with your username and password. First-time users register with their card number. Always type the address yourself rather than following links in emails or texts.
I forgot my myindigocard.com password. What should I do?
Use the “Forgot username/password” link on the official login page and follow the identity verification steps. If you're still locked out, call the number on the back of your card.
Will Indigo Card USA ever ask for my card login?
Never. We're an independent site and never request your username, password, or full card number. Only enter credentials on the official myindigocard.com site.
Payments
How do I pay my Indigo Card bill?
You can pay online after logging in at myindigocard.com, by phone through the automated customer service line, or by mailing a check. Online and phone payments post fastest.
Can I set up autopay?
Yes. Autopay can be set up from your online account. It's the easiest way to avoid late fees and protect your payment history.
What happens if I pay late?
A late fee of up to $41 may apply, and payments 30 or more days late can be reported to the credit bureaus, which can lower your score.
Can I pay off my loan early?
Yes. Indigo Card USA loans have no prepayment penalty, so paying early reduces the total interest you pay.
Loans & rates
How much can I borrow?
Indigo Card USA loans range from $200 to $5,000, depending on the product, your income, your credit profile, and your state.
What APR will I get?
Loan APRs range from 5.99% to 35.99%. Excellent credit typically qualifies for the low end; rebuilding credit is usually at the higher end. See the Rates & Fees page for typical ranges by tier.
Are there origination fees?
Some offers include an origination fee of 0% to 5%, deducted from the loan proceeds. It's always disclosed before you sign.
How fast will I get the money?
Applications approved before 2 PM ET on business days can be funded the same day. Most others are funded by the next business day, depending on your bank.
Building credit
Will this help my credit score?
On-time payments are reported to Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. Payment history is about 35% of a FICO score, so consistent on-time payments can help over time.
How long until I see my score improve?
Many borrowers see changes within 3 to 6 months of on-time payments, but results vary based on your full credit history and other accounts.
What's a good credit utilization ratio?
Try to keep card balances below 30% of their limits, and ideally under 10%. On a $1,000 limit, that means a balance under $300.
Where can I check my credit report for free?
You can get free reports from all three bureaus at AnnualCreditReport.com, the only federally authorized source.
